FOR IMMEDIATE
RELEASE.
Township of Bethlehem, Pennsylvania and State of Maine go
live with Maintenance Connection
Davis, CA April 19, 2005 - Earlier this month,
Maintenance Connection implementation staff worked with the
Township of Bethlehem, Pennsylvania to kick off a project to
begin utilizing Maintenance Connection within the township's
operations. The township anticipates using Maintenance
Connection to keep track of hundreds of assets, by tracking work
histories, scheduling preventive maintenance and being able to
accurately keep maintenance cost records. "With a brand
new 50,000 square foot community center coming online within the
next year, it was critical for us to have a good sense of all
the equipment we maintain and where our time is being spent,"
says Physical Plant and Information Services Director, Steve Hunsberger. With
a wide variety of assets ranging from pump stations to 100-year
old buildings, Maintenance Connection will serve the Township of
Bethlehem well with the flexibility that they need to use a
system for years to come.
The State of Maine
Property Management Division went through a long process of
narrowing down competitive products until they determined that
Maintenance Connection was best suited for a long-term
partnership. With over 80 structures, thousands of assets
to maintain and a large staff of maintenance workers, it is
critical for the State of Maine to incorporate a robust solution
like Maintenance Connnection. "Our old system was
difficult to navigate and did not allow us to output reports
with any of the data we were tracking. Maintenance
Connection is certainly a drastic improvement and I look forward
to seeing it help us make decisions in the future," states Barry
Cote, Superintendent of Buildings with the State of Maine.
"Both of these new
clients are very pleased with the system - just like every other
customer we serve. Each implementation was considered a
success by both parties and now we will begin supporting them as
they learn and use Maintenance Connection," says Brad Squires of
Maintenance Connection.
